Why do we look for a free venue for Tartan Day.

Tartan Day is about celebrating our Scottish heritage and making it accessible to the majority of people in Toronto. Most of the venue's in Toronto charge between $3000 and up to $70,000 and normally have a minimum door spend. Hiring these venues would mean increasing your ticket from $25 to $70+ and this would result in less people being able to participate.
We need your help in breaking last years total fundraising of $4000.00.
Tell your friends about Tartan Day, Tell your work mates about Tartan Day, Tell your Facebook and Twitter accounts Tartan Day or just join us for a fun evening of dancing.

Many thanks to the Sons of Scotland who are once again helping to sponsor Tartan Day.

Hey Fellow Tartan Day Supports,

This has been the most difficult Tartan Day event ever to organize! Why? Because no-one was prepared to give us some event space free of charge. It has been my goal to make the Tartan Day Dance accessible to everyone in the GTA without a huge admission tag. There were 3 halls which were available at a reasonable rate, so Currie Hall was chosen for this years Tartan Day.

Currie Hall is part of the Canadian National Ballet School and formerly known as the Quaker Meeting House. The hall has been fully restored with a great wooden dance floor.

Limited tickets are now on sale, but you will have to be quick as there are only 230.
